Oh yes, it had to come sooner or later – Anna’s Top 10 Vampire Hunters!

Though I am usually the one cheering the vampires on, there have been some really cool vampire hunters over the years in books, movies & TV shows.

So here are the 10 that made my list – even though they hunt after my beloved, cold, pale loves.

10.  Jesus – from the movie Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter

Ok, confession time… I haven’t see this movie yet, but how could I possibly resist?!

9.  Blade – from the movies The Blade Trilogy

I thought Blade was  a bit on the cheesy side, but he still kicked some serious vampire butt.

8.  Anna Velarious – from the movie Van Helsing

Another slightly cheesy movie, but Kate Beckinsale is an awesome vampire hunter.  And she has a cool accent in the movie.

7.  Edgar & Alan Frog & Sam Emerson – from the movie The Lost Boys

These guys were great! And one of my all time favorite vampire movies.

6.  The Twilight Wolves – from the movies (and books) The Twilight Saga

Ok, I admit it… they are basically eye candy.  If you like that wolfy kind of thing.  I don’t.  I prefer them cold, pale and dangerous!

5.  Robert Neville – from the book and movie I Am Legend

What an awesome character.  I love that he became a vampire hunter because that’s how he had to survive.

4.  Vampire Hunter D

I remember seeing Vampire Hunter D years ago and loving it.  I want to see it again (hellooooo Netflix).

3.  Abraham Van Helsing – from the book Dracula and all the Dracula movies

Van Helsing was a great vampire hunter, probably one of the most well known.  He just knew how to do it.

2.  Abraham Lincoln – from the book Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter

Um… Abraham Lincoln as a vampire hunter who saved the world from vampires??  Yes, please!

1.  Buffy Summers – from the movie and TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Yes, Buffy is number one for me.  I just love her.  Is that wrong?  Maybe it’s because she has a thing for vampires… like me!
