Top 10 Vampire Hunters

Wed ,14/04/2010

Oh yes, it had to come sooner or later – Anna’s Top 10 Vampire Hunters!

Though I am usually the one cheering the vampires on, there have been some really cool vampire hunters over the years in books, movies & TV shows.

So here are the 10 that made my list – even though they hunt after my beloved, cold, pale loves.

10.  Jesus – from the movie Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter

Vampires

Fri ,02/04/2010

Vampires.  I cannot seem to get them out of my head lately!  I mean, obviously Anna… hello vampire website!  But seriously, I think about them when I get up, throughout the day at work, when I’m walking home from work… I do walk by a graveyard though, how can you NOT think of vampires!

Favorite vampire right now is Eric Northman from True Blood and the Sookie Stackhouse novels.  YUM.  For those (who have the Eric obsession right now!!) who have only seen him on True Blood, I really suggest reading the books too.  You get a lot more of him and more into Sookie’s head while she’s with him.  It’s great.  Can I change my name to Sookie?

Vampire Wine

Wed ,24/03/2010

I knew there was wine out there with a number of vampire brands – but I didn’t know there were so many different names to them!

Now I admit that one of my guilty pleasures is drinking a good red wine – whether I’m drinking it with dinner or watching a vampire movie, curling up with a vampire book…in the bath… I don’t know, it just completes the mood of my whole vampire obsession.

And what is sexier than red wine? Maybe tasting it on my lovers lips? um… yes!   And maybe pretending it’s … well… blood?  Ok, maybe for some!

I just love the idea of vampire-themed wines.  It just makes me smile.  I came across a site today that tickled me pink…well, red…and can’t wait to try these wines!  They have labels called Vampire, Dracula, TrueBlood and Cheateau du Vampire, as well as a whole bunch of other vampire-wine related items.

Now granted, I’m a California girl and I love my wine.  So, I’m really hoping that that these are good and I can keep ordering them.

Check it out – Vampire Vineyards!  http://www.vampirevineyards.com/ and their online store:  http://www.wickedwinesonline.com/home.php

Now, this isn’t exactly a “vampire” wine, but Poizon from the Armida Winery in Healdsburg, California, is one of my favorites.  And its box is coffin-shaped!  Here is a link to their site:  http://www.armida.com/#state=Poizin

I think it goes without saying… but please do not try any of this stuff as it can be extremely dangerous!

Rumors

Wed ,03/03/2010

I like a good rumor, especially when it involves vampires!

Rumor has it that the author of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Seth Graham-Smith, has sold the film rights to his book. And the juiciest part of the rumor is that Tim Burton will be involved.

Exciting! I have to go get the book!

Vampires in Scotland – Part 2

Sat ,13/02/2010

There should be vampires in Scotland.  I mean, the urban cities are the perfect background for the ultimate vampire story.  Old, gothic, stone buildings with narrow walkways in between, cobblestone streets and castles! What more could I possibly ask for? Except, of course, meeting a drop dead (ha ha) gorgeous vampire in one of the narrow closes!

I think I see Edward Cullen.

Vampires on TV

Sun ,24/01/2010

So, vampires on TV. Not enough, in my humble opinion. There have been some great shows throughout the years.

I am a HUGE fan of True Blood. It has all the vampire themes I want and need. It has classic vampire legends, lust, love, sex and (dun dun DUH!) humor! Yes, I love a bit of everything mixed in with my vampire obsession.  Makes it even better. So yes, this show… one of my current obsessions!

Vampire BILL?? Why don't you have a cool vampire name?
